GW-0742
GW-0742 is a mixed PPAR-B agonist antagonist, dose dependent. It also has weak activity at multiple nuclear receptors.
It is antagonistic to androgen receptors and VDR. In silico modeling suggests it has effects on thyroid hormone receptors.
GW0742 has been shown to ameliorate experimentally induced pancreatitis in mice. It also prevents hypertension in diet-induced obese mice. and is also being investigated as a potential antidiabetic agent. It is also an anti-inflammatory agent.
